February Half Term

Yorkshire Games Festival – National Science and Media Museum 10 -23 February.

Join them for an extravaganza of games culture, design, and production as the museum celebrates all things gaming across two weeks of exciting activity including a packed half term of gaming fun.  Visit NS&MM for more information.

 

Haworth Worth Valley Railway – Over the February Half-Term Holidays, they will run passenger services every day with a mixture of steam engines and heritage diesels. Take the whole family along (even the dog is welcome!) for an adventure through the Worth Valley and beyond. Things to do in Haworth and the surrounding area this half term

Haworth Spy Mission:- A spy mission themed walking treasure trail around Haworth, great for discovering more and exploring somewhere new. The trail is approx 1.6 miles long and takes 2 hours to complete but can be done in your own time and is suitable for all ages from 6 – 106. Cobbles and Clay Café:- Take time for a break to rest your legs, have your coffee and eat cake while the children put their creative flair into painting pottery. Bronte Parsonage Museum:- Home to the Bronte Sisters, the Haworth Parsonage is open to view collections made up of original Bronte items, from writing desks and letters, to clothes, furniture and more. So step foot inside the house that the Brontes called home – see their website for more information on what you can expect to see, prices and opening times.

 

St Ives Country Estate:- located near Bingley, is a country park of 500 acres belonging to Bradford Metropolitan District Council with Public access to a large part of the area.

Coppice Pond has ducks, a sculpture trail will keep the family entertained while you explore the woodlands, open moor and meadows and the adventure playground will be a hit with the kids too!

The adventurous play equipment includes high towers, rope bridge, state of the art tyre swings, a maypole, sand play and tyre swing. This is complimented by natural play elements such as rocks, fallen trees and a dry river bed.

There is a cafe and Visitors Centre and various activities such as archery too.
